Hello,
Is it somehow possible to upgrade the WLAN of my 8770W to an Intel AX200 (using an adapter)?

As far as I read, there shouldn't be a problem with the whitelist because it's an IvyBridge, correct?

Hi:

 

There might be a whitelist.

 

HP was phasing them out around the time your notebook was made.

 

They actually make AX200/AX210 HMC cards that if they are supported, will work without an adapter.
