HP Laptop 17-g199nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Laptop 17 -g199nr and I would like to know if I can upgrade the Nvidia GeForce 940M Graphics card. If so, is there a limit on the type of Nvidia graphic card? Can I put Nvidia 1080 for example? Also, is my CPU upgradeable as well? And are their any limits? I don't want to get a new laptop but I would like to upgrade my hardware, cards, etc., as much as I can. Thank you to any one reading this.

The following link shows specs of your computer

   https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c04798495

1. You can't upgrade CPU, GPU because they are soldered to the motherboard. You have to buy new motherborad and this is very similar to buying new machine.

2. Two things you can upgrade

   (a) Your machine currently has 12GB (8GB + 4GB) of RAM, it support 16GB max. You can replace 4GB with 8GB to make 16GB using SAME RAM as the existing 8GB stick,

   (b) Replce 1TB of 5400RPM with 1TB of SSD.

Regards.
