My question is

1. does this Laptop has capable to run Windows10?

2. If yes, can I install windows 10 64 bit clean install?

3. If yes, what type of memory upgrade is possible?

Please note :

This unit shipped with windows 7 Home.

I did free upgrade for windows 10 Home , it created lot of BSOD and I restored to windows7

https://ark.intel.com/content/www/us/en/ark/products/43537/intel-core-i5-430m-processor-3m-cache-2-2...

(From intel website  I found out that max memory : 8gb and Intel 64 : YES)

Then I installed windows 10 pro (64bit) clean install, It also created lot of BSOD even after updating all the drivers.

Then I contacted HP online support, they advised me that no possibility to upgrade memory and HP never tested this PC on Windows10. As this is older PC they given the link to explore new PC.

I know this unit is about 10 year old, It may not support latest OS or drivers,. But I want to get an advice from experts before give up the idea of upgrading this unit.

please help me on this reagrds.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 4 GB ram installed on the PC and it Supports up to 4 GB DDR3 memory.

This product reached the end of support life and no longer hardware/software support available for this computer. The best upgrade option I can suggest you is going for a new computer which cames with preloaded windows 10 OS  and new hardware technology

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
