Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Hi, i havea Hp pavilion dv7-6c73el with win 7 64 bit, 6 gb  ram, processor  intel i 5 2450-M (2,5 GHz) i want upgrade the laptop, and i have 2 question:

1) how many ram can be installed on the laptop ? 8 or 16 gb? Many services manual write that with Intel processor is possible arrive to 16 GB.

2) it is possible change the processor with a better intel product? For example i7 series or i5 but better. Which processor is possible to install?

Here's the Manual. 

 

Service Manual 

 

It will run 16 gigs of DDR3-1333 1.5 volt SO-DIMM (2 x eight gig modules). You can remove the i5 processor and install any of the dual core 2nd gen i7s listed in the manual but not a Quad Core; that takes a different motherboard.
