HP ENVY x360 13.3 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 13-bf0000 (552D7AV)

Can an HP Envy 13-bf0013dx with 8Gb of RAM be upgraded to 16Gb? I’m not interested in doing it myself—just yes or no.

My needs have changed since I bought the machine, and I just want to know if I can upgrade the machine I have or if I have to buy a new one.

Hi:

The product specs indicate that the memory is 'onboard.'

Datasheet (bbystatic.com)

Onboard means that the memory is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.

The service manual also confirms this to be the case.

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

It would be too expensive to replace the current system board with one that comes configured with 16 GB of memory.

If you like 13" and smaller display size notebooks, very few of those come with removable/upgradable memory anymore (from any manufacturer), so make sure that you buy one that supports memory upgrades or if the memory is onboard, buy one that comes configured with the amount of memory you want.
