HP Spectre x360 - 15t-bl100 CTO

I'm looking for possibilities to upgrade my HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15t-bl100
from
1. RAM 16 GB to 32 GB and
2. SSD 500GB to 1/2/4 TB

Model: 15t-bl100 (Just 15t-bl100 no suffixes)
Prod-ID: 1VW22AV

1. Let me know is this model hard wired for RAM? if not, can i upgrade to 32GB?
2. What options are there for SSD upgrade? Should i go only to NVMe M.2 2280 (PCIe Gen 3x4) of 1/2/4 TB ?

Please suggest..

According to the parts list the notebook comes with removable memory.

HP PartSurfer

You can install a large a capacity NVMe SSD you want as long as the drive is single sided so that it fits in the M.2 SSD slot.

The slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.

A gen 4.0 SSD will work fine, but it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from the Gen 3 slot--the maximum would be limited to 4,000 MBPS.

I recommend you get a Gen 4 SSD because they will be easier to find and probably cost less than a Gen 3 drive.

Chapter 1 of the service manual indicates the max memory is 2 x 8 GB.

The notebook probably will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

If you want to see if your notebook can support more than 2 x 8 GB of memory, you can run this command in Windows Powershell as administrator:

Get-CimInstance -ClassName Win32_PhysicalMemoryArray | Select-Object MaxCapacityEx, MemoryDevices

Thanks for your quick response and valuable suggestions.

Here is the output of the Powershell script:

MaxCapacityEx
-------------
33554432

MemoryDevices

-------------

2

So, it tells that it supports 32 GB capacity of RAM.

So what specifications of RAM will suit my notebook?

Is there anything that i wanted to know on this further?

appreciate your thoughts..

You're very welcome.

According to the report your notebook will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

32 GB divided by two slots.

You arrive at the 32 GB figure by dividing the 33,554,432 by 1,048,576
