Upgrade RAM and SSD

Hi, 

I want to upgrade my laptop Ryzen 5 since its having performance issue when I open multiple tab on microsoft edge. Im a VS heavy user.

So according to the specs by manual

My question are

1) My pc currently running on 8GB RAM, what is the optimum upgrade? Shall I use 16GBx1 or 16GBx2 or 32GBx1?

2)My current SSD is 500GB, can I upgrade to 1TB NVME or use dual storage? If dual what is the storage solution? Which is better?

Your HP Pavilion Gaming - 15-ec0058ax (9LA26PA), according to: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06446633.pdf, is likely fitted with an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H.

1.) You can fit 2 x 8GB RAM or 2 x 16GB RAM -whatever your preference is. Btw, here is a useful benchmark link showing User performance scores for your laptop: https://www.userbenchmark.com/System/HP-Pavilion-Gaming-Laptop-15-ec0xxx/157225.

2.) Yes, you can easily upgrade your M.2 NVMe Gen3 x4 SSD to 1TB or beyond. This drive should be your primary (boot) drive for speed. You can also install a secondary SATA (SSD) drive, and again, 1TB is the norm these days, but you could install a larger capacity drive if your budget allows it, and you have a need for larger storage.
