Product: HP Notebook - 15-ay009dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
I just Recently bought a 15-AY009DX (HP - 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 6GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive - Black) from best buy, and was wondering if its possible to upgrade the i3-6100U to a stronger processor, and if i could also upgrade the RAM to more than 6gb?

Hi,
Page 56, 57: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05087748
Specs: http://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c05301836
Processor can't be upgraded to anything. It is integrated with board.
RAM: max 12gb, page 13, 14
But you can easily put to 8gb sticks in the two slots, of exact same configuration, speed, voltage as given in manual and same as the old one.
For best improvement in performance, I would suggest you to upgrade HDD to 2.5 inch SATA 7mm thick SSD.
Create Recovery USB before upgrade.
Regards
Visruth
