ENVY m6 n010dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, I need to upgrade the RAM for my ENVY m6 n010dx. I checked the manual and I knew that it allows for a 8gb DDR3L 1600.  However,  I'm concerning about the compatibility between the 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 ram as my laptop is using the 1Rx8 and all the memories I could find now  are 2Rx8.

So, I wonder whether it works well with a mixture of 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 RAM?

Thanks alot in advance

Best,

Thanks GBL84

I know it supports up to 16GB. <Edited for clarity>

My laptop has 6GB of RAM: 1x2GB and 1x4GB. Both of them are 1Rx8 RAM. I intended to replace the 2GB with a new 8GB.

The point is that there are two types of memory: 1Rx8 and 2Rx8 and I don't know whether it could work well if I upgrade a 2Rx8 memory for my laptop since it already has a 1Rx8 RAM.
