Hi,

As I suggested in my previous post, if crucial guarantee their listed RAM module to work, you can go with it. I can only suggest that is given in this notebook manual from your support site.

Your laptop came with Vista Home Basic 32-bit OS. 32-bit OS can only utilise max upto 4gb memory even if you put additional module.

Hi,

2 SODIMM slots

PC2-6400, 800-MHz, DDR2

Dual-channel support

Supports up to 4096 MB system memory

4096-MB total system memory (2048 MB × 2, dual-channel)

For use only with computer models equipped with AMD processors (667-MHz, PC2-5300, 1-DIMM):

2048MB  : 484268-002

eBay - DDR2 modules are costlier than DDR3 or 4.
