@CMB7255,

[EDIT:] Your HP Pavilion - 15-Cc543na according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05585256 can fit up to 2 x 8GB (16GB total) DDR4 PC4-17000 (2133 MHz) SDRAM, even though Crucial says otherwise: 2 x 8GB (16GB total) of DDR4 PC4-19200 (2400 MHz) NON-ECC, SODIMM RAM: https://www.crucial.com/compatible-upgrade-for/hp---compaq/pavilion-15-cc543na.

If you don't mind, please provide the RAM 8GB (or 4GB) part number please, and, even better, your "BaseBoard Product" number (please type System Information in your Windows search bar, left-click on the System Information App, and locate the BaseBoard Product number as illustrated here:

By the way, it is generally best to have matching RAM sticks: if you have one 8GB RAM stick already, shop for an additional matching 8GB RAM stick, and if you have 2 x 4GB RAM sticks, buy two matching 8GB RAM sticks.

Hope this helped.

Hi, base board # 8367.

Have not accessed RAM as yet but based on spec it is a single 8GB card.

Thanks again for help 👍

Trying to remove back cover to access RAM, configuration not as shown in manual.

Only 5 screws visible, 3 along front edge and 2 under rear feet and no optical drive as shown in manual???

Any suggestions?

@CMB7255,

Yea, online information is often difficult to dig up.  Please see if this YouTube video applies to your laptop: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TXUTz99530.

Your HP Pavilion 15-cc543na can run up to 2 x 8GB (16GB total) of DDR4 PC4-19200 (2400 MHz) of SODIMM SDRAM.  At least from what HP specs tell me, your laptop was likely fitted with one stick of Kingston HP24D4S7S8MBP-8 ( 8GB) RAM.

If that is the case, you are best off purchasing an identical 8GB RAM stick such as via eBay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313&_nkw=Kingston+HP24D4S7S8MBP-8&....

Other qualified RAM that will run at 2400 MHz in your laptop are: Samsung M471A1K43BB1-CRC (2x8GB) and: Micron 8ATF1G64HZ-2G3B1 (2x8GB).  Again, it's best not to mix RAM.

Hope this helps.
