Upgrade RAM on my HP Notebook HP Pavilion x360 - 14-cd0403ng

Hi when I go to the "HP Detect my Device Page", my notebook is listed as the "HP Pavilion x360 14".

I wanted to know how much RAM I can use in this pc and read the  upgrade guide which told me to go to the  "Maintenance and Server Guide" documentation. This leads me to the pdf for "HP Pavilion x360 14m Convertible PC" which says I can use 12GB of RAM.

But I'm not sure if this is really the documentation for my notebook since the product specification page says "HP Pavilion x360 14". The documentation for "HP Pavilion x360 14" says it can hold up to 16gb of RAM.

Which is the correct documentation for my notebook/how much max RAM can I reaqlly use?

It can take a max of 2 x 8 GB of memory for a total of 16 GB.

The service manual is incorrect.

If you can install 8 GB of memory in one slot, then you can install 8 GB of memory in both.
