Good morning, I purchased a compatible 32x2 RAM kit for my PC, but I'm having problems with the PC not recognizing it. The RAM I initially installed was 8x2. The RAM is CRUCIAL CT2K32G56C46S5. They appear compatible on the Crucial website. When I start up my PC, it gives me various errors, such as "your device ran into a problem and needs to restart."

@Luciariello, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Unfortunately, your unit doesn't support 32GB x 2 memory configuration. The maximum RAM that can be installed is 32GB in total.

Your unit supports the following:

Two SODIMM slots, dual-channel support
DDR4-3200 (Core i7 processors)

DDR4-2933 (Core i5 processors)

Supports the following configurations:
● 32 GB (16 × 2)
● 16 GB (8 × 2)
● 12 GB (8 + 4)
● 8 GB (4 × 2 or 8 × 1)

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
