How can I find out how much RAM my laptop supports?

Model #: 15-1209wm

Product: LOT31UA#ABA

It only has one RAM slot and its 4gb 1Rx8 PC3L (I'm assuming its DDR3) Kingston and I'm hoping to upgrade to at least 8gb or more if its supported

Hi:

 

Your notebook has one memory slot and can support 1 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600 memory.

Before you run out and buy any memory, read this discussion first...seems like that model series has issues when folks try to install memory that should have worked.
