Hi:

 

Theoretically any M.2 NVMe SSD should work.

 

Samsung, WD Black, Crucial P2 or P5...

 

Below is the link to the service manual.  Chapter 1, page 2 indicates that NVMe drives are supported.

Important!  Before you buy a M.2 SSD. open up the notebook and confirm that it has a M.2 slot.

 

Notebooks that did not come with M.2 SSD's from HP may not have the M.2 slot present.

 

If you look at chapter 3, page 20, additional parts are added to support a M.2 SSD...
