I have recently purchased the above machine. It has 128 gb ssd. I would like to upgrade to 1T SSD (crucial MX500) but when I open the case I do not find any connectors that match my cruicial drive. Is this upgrade possible? Thanks.

Please contact HP authorized service provider parts and they can do this for you. HP does not supply information for few parts such as case, connector, cable. HP only supplies information for M.2 solid-state drive expansion capability on single hard drive models
Regards.

Hi,
The drive in your machine is an M2 SSD drive which you can see here.
M2 SSD
So to upgrade that drive you would need an M2 SATA3 SSD such as the M2 Crucial MX500 or much faster M2 PCIe NVMe SSD such as the M2 Samsung 970 Evo Plus. You can get of your desired capacity.
Example:
Most likely you have bought a 2.5" SATA3 SSD and you do not see the connectors?
Example:
To install a 2.5" SSD in the notebook you will need
Hard drive cable part number L51095-001
and you should purchase the hard drive cover (you can use strong double-sided foam tape to stick the drive in place)
Hard drive cover for use in models without a fingerprint reader part number L51121-001
Hard drive cover for use in models with a fingerprint reader part number L51122-001
These parts can be really difficult to find. Not available in the HP parts store. That is why it would be best to return (if possible) the 2.5" SSD and exchange for an M2 SSD.
On page 37 of service manual you can see the steps to install the drive (if you can find the cable)

Hope it helps,
David
