Hi:

Yes, your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports NVMe SSD's, Gen 3.0.

What I don't know is if your notebook will run a PCIe 3 x 4 SSD using both lanes or only two of the PCI Express lanes.

On the older 15-da0xxx model series, forum members reported that NVMe SSD's run at about half of their advertised read/write speeds, only using 2 of the 4 lanes.

Whether or not that has been fixed on the 15-da1xxx model series, that I do not know.

In any event even if a NVMe SSD only runs at half of its advertised read/write speeds, that will still be around 3x faster than a SATA SSD would be.

See chapter 1 of the service manual for the supported drive types.
