I have HP Omen laptop 15-dc0xxx with LITEON CA3-8D128-HP SSD drive.  I want to upgrade to at least 500gb and need to know how to find a compatible drive.

Hi:

 

You should be able to install any brand NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSD you want.

 

If you want a recommendation, this drive is a very popular model and should work fine in your notebook.

 

Right now, the 1 TB model is priced very reasonably.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the M.2 SSD removal and replacement procedure.

The drive capacities listed in the service manual are usually just what HP offered in the model series, not the maximum storage capacity supported.
