Hi all!
I want to upgrade the storage on my laptop: 15-db0045ns
At first, I thought that to do it, I only had just one option: to change the ssd that comes by default (KBG30ZMV256G TOSHIBA).
However, once I opened the laptop, I saw that there is a lot of room inside it.
It is not really clear to me what type of hard drives I can put there, since I do not see the typical connector where it should be.
Can anybody help me?
thanks

Hi,
The best idea is just to upgrade the M2 SSD. The notebook supports M2 PCIe NVMe SSD of your preferred brand and capacity.
Something like the Samsung 970 Evo Plus, but even cheaper ones such as the Crucial P2 will be much faster than any 2.5" Drive you could insert and maybe cheaper as you do not need any parts.
You cen then reinstall either by using Microsoft or HP tool
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
To install a 2.5" Drive you will need
L20454-001 hard drive connector board
Ex:
and bracket or you can use sticky foamy tape part number L20455-001
Ex:

Hope it helps,
David

@Iomare
wow, that was super fast!
What about the sata connector in the second photo? I guess that it is there to connect the cd drive, could it work for a hard drive?
If not, just changing the hdd connector board would work, right?
i dont fully understand why the incomplete hdd connector board is there, why they didn't take it out completly?
Thanks so much for helping me!!
