Hi
we have an HP Elitebook 8470P for my daughter and it currently had the Intel R HD 4000 Graphics but I would like to update this so she can play the likes of SIMs, is this something that can be done and if so what would be the best card to use and is it easy to do. TIA

Hi:
The graphics is an integral part of the motherboard.
In order to upgrade the graphics, the motherboard would have to be replaced with one listed in the service manual that may come with better graphics.
It would be very expensive and not worth the effort.

Thanks for the feedback, I thought it would maybe be just an additional card or something for it that could slot in somewhere.
Bummer she will be gutted but he ho, we were able to play a downloaded version of sims on the laptop but when I purchased the actually one to allow her to get more add ons it wouldn't play, crazy that it played one version but not the actually one I spent money on

lol that is typical her aunt got it for her xmas thinking she was doing well. I did say aslong as she can play games but she hasn't maybe thought about bigger games, I will have a look on ebay if I can get something about £70 then its cheaper than buying a new laptop just for that for her as she is only 10

Definitely look on eBay.
That is where I get all of my PC's.
Make sure it comes with a discrete video card and also make sure it works with W10.
Older model notebooks with switchable graphics that don't have W10 drivers...the graphics won't work right.
