Memory you can upgrade to 8gb. There is one memory slot and you can install up to a single 8 gb DDR4-2400 SO-DIMM which will bridge or downclock to -1866 speed. The processor is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be changed in any way.

That's the problem. Computing power costs money unfortunately. I would need to know more about what you are doing but a good rule of thumb and advice I give out is get an Intel Core processor (at least an i3) get at least 16 gb of memory and get at least a 1920 x 1080 screen. Also get a solid state drive.
This one is not very expensive and has all of the above except 8 gb memory

I am not a huge fan of AMD laptops. However. my latest laptop HP sent me for being an Expert is AMD Ryzen and works pretty well. The Ryzen 5 is equal to an Intel i3 but if I had the Ryzen, I would get 16 gb of memory for technical reasons. Also don't forget the 1920 x 1080 screen and SSD. Absolutely needed for a working laptop you will be on for several hours a day. Much more pleasant to use.
