Hi hoping anyone can answer this question. So I have a 8th gen core i5 which isn't good enough for a flight simulator . Well I wanted to upgrade it and when search the board I can not find anything about upgradeability for the CPU. Is this CPU on a motherboard called 864F upgradeable?

I don't know what is your HP 15-dy0xxx machine BUT you can't upgrade its CPU, you have to buy a whole new System board (if available) which contains (a) Motherboard (b) CPU, (c) video card (if applicable) and (d) Windows License.
Buying new machine would be ending up better and cheaper.
Regards.

I've also been thinking of upgrading from integrated graphics. I've heard of external graphic boxes such as this one listed below
would fitting a graphics card in and doing it this way be appropiate?

Again, it clearly says: it runs Thunderbolt 3 Laptops, and your machine does NOT have Thunderbolt™ 3 port.

Is that TRUE ? Do you have money in your wallet and you wanted to throw away. If yes, you can try and don't post back saying any bad news.

Also something that would help even more is a new wifi card . I have a old Realtek 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi card. Where can I buy a compatible Wi-Fi 6 card . I am capable of taking apart my laptop I have replaced the battery before and fixed a fan.
