What is your 17-by4xxx ? For example
You machine is probably very close to the above machine.
1. RAM: You can upgrade to
- 32GB using : https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd8266/ct20380845
- or even 64GB using : https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k32g4sfd8266/ct20380832
2. STORAGE: The above machine has 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA HDD now, you can add 1TB or 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD to your machine OR replace 2.5" HDD using 2.5" SSD or both depending your existing storage.
Regards.

For me, that combination is more than enough, BUT if you wish, you can upgrade 256GB to larger (capacity) or/and upgrade slow 1TB 5400RPM to faster 1TB or 2TB SSD.

Thank you, I had a closer look at why my memory was so full, turns out all my files were going to the Windows C drive (237 GB) and the data drive is completely empty. I'll just have to move some things around.
I have ordered the RAM upgrade so I can do a little more with it.
Thank you!!!
