Hello everyone, my mom has an old HP pavilion from the year 2015 (I think), and she'd like to upgrade it (it's kinda slow). So I mentioned her that among the possible solutions, one can increase the memory and change the storage type as well (from a HDD to SSD).
The computer model is an HP Pavilion 14-AC186LA. I understand, according to hp's own specs, (https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04773003) the computer has 4 gb DDR3L 1600 and a hard drive disk of about 500 gb.
Since It doesn't mention the motherboard's limitations. What could be the max ammount of RAM (and it's type) that I could add to it? so I can go and buy from a store. Also, for what type of SSD unit could I change the computer's original HDD?
regards,

It supports 2 x 8GB max. You should be able to use (you can buy from a good computer shop).

Yes, you upgrade 2.5" HDD to 2.5" SSD using Crucial MX500 or Samsung 850/860/870 EVO series or similar from other vendors. You can upgrade to 2TB or 1TB for easy go
Regards.
