As my laptop is currently running with HDD. It is getting too slow . So planning to upgrade it with SSD .
- Which SSD type suits my laptops motherboard M.2 SATA SSD or M.2 NVMe SSD ?
- Does my laptop supports NVMe GEN 3 or GEN 4 SSD’s?
Thank you.

Hi:
Chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide on your notebook's user guides support page indicates that your notebook has a M.2 slot that supports both NVMe and SATA SSD's.
HP Notebook - 14s-cs1000tu - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
NVMe SSD's have faster read/write speeds than SATA SSDs have.
Your notebook's M.2 SSD slot is PCIe Gen 3.0.
While a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD will work, it will not run at its maximum advertised read/write speeds from the Gen 3 M.2 slot.
