Hi, I've a probook 6450b intel core i3 version, and it just seems a tad way sluggish on boot, and processing software events, clicks etc. Will i be able to upgrade to a i5 or i7 on this one, (given the service manual shows it to be replaceable/upgradable)?

Hi:

You would be able to upgrade to the Intel Core i7-620M dual core processor, not the quad core.

Have you maxed out the memory and replaced the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" solid state drive?

A solid state drive breathes new life into a PC.

Sounds good enough, provided  that version of i7 is significantly faster (must be since there's i5 in between). As for ssd, i've come to prefer traditional hdd for their storage capability.
