Hello,

I would want to add an additional SSD hardrive in my Laptop HP 255 G9.

Hi:

 

There is only support for one M.2 NVMe SSD and one 2.5" drive.

 

If your notebook has the NVMe SSD, installing a 2.5" SSD will most likely be a challenge.

 

That is because none of the parts will be there to simply install the drive.

 

You will have to find and buy the parts to add a 2.5" drive that are listed in chapter 3 of the service manual.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Hard drive board   L52024-001


NOTE: The hard drive board cable is available using spare part number L52025-001.

 

Those parts may not be easy to find.

 

If that was your intention, I recommend you remove the existing NVMe SSD and install one having a greater storage capacity.
