HP ENVY 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-ep1000 (322X6AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

My box says this is hp envy ep1013dx and my serial number pulled up the model above. New machine. I'd like to upgrade my memory. Specs say 32 gb but this processor can handle 128 gb. Has anybody upgraded their memory and can help? I've read these computers have a hard time with high-end gaming memory. I have chosen 32 gb Corsair  Vengeance at 3200. Does anyone know if this will work? And lastly I'd rather go ahead with 64 gb if anyone has experience in this... Thank you

HP has not posted a Service Manual for that series. I can tell you 128 gigs is not an option. With the 11th gen processor we know 32 gigs will work and 64 gigs probably will work. Even if there were a Service Manual HP often understates the real memory capacity of their laptops. Best thing to do is run a testing app from the command line which will tell you how much memory it can take. And you are right about staying away from high-end gaming memory which Corsair Vengeance would be. Get regular Hynix or Samsung or Crucial

If you are running Windows 11 the wmic command prompt may not work. I just learned that on my own machine running Windows 11. Post back if yours does not work and by then I will have a workaround.
