I have a HP Pro X2 612 G1 with 4gb of RAM. How do I upgrade it to 8gb? Can it even be upgraded?

Its specs

    https://support.hp.com/au-en/product/hp-pro-x2-612-g1/7109448/document/c04481814#AbT3

which says it has Onboard RAM

Memory
DDR3L SDRAM (1600 MHz)
On-board
Standard 4096 MB memory or 8192 MB memory

Onboard means RAM is soldered to the System board. You have to buy a whole new System board.

Regards.
