Can I Upgrade my Hp laptop Elitebook 840 G3 from intel Core i5 to core i7?

Hi:

 

The processor is an integral part of the motherboard and cannot be upgraded unless you replace the motherboard with one listed in the 840 G3 service manual that comes with a better processor.

 

The cost of the motherboard part, if you could find it,  would probably exceed the cost that you originally paid for the notebook.
