I want to order a RAM upgrade chip. I ordered one, but the pin setup was wrong. I just need the exact specs to order a 16G or 32G RAM chip (single not double). I've done this a million times with dells plus hard drives, nic cards you name it but getting an answer on this has been like pulling teeth

If the pins were not correct, it means that you ordered a wrong generation RAM module or a non low voltage module.
The specs are: (the L means low voltage)
Two SODIMM non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slots (Core i3 processors)
DDR3L-1600 MHz dual channel support (DDR3L-1600 dual channel support)
One SODIMM non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slot (Pentium, Celeron processors)
DDR3L-1333 MHz dual channel support (DDR3L-1600 downgraded to DDR3L-133
Here are a few options on Amazon.

Hi:
You can't upgrade the memory in your notebook.
Notebooks with the Celeron N2840 processors only support 4 GB of memory.
See chapter 1 of the maintenance and service guide on your notebook's support page for the memory upgrade info:
HP Notebook - 15-f211wm (Touch) (ENERGY STAR) - Setup and User Guides | HP® Support
One SODIMM non-customer-accessible/upgradable memory module slot (Pentium, Celeron processors)
DDR3L-1333 MHz dual channel support (DDR3L-1600 downgraded to DDR3L-1333)
Supports up to 4 GB max system memory (DDR3L-1600 MHz module)
Many folks have tried to install a 1 x 8 GB DDR3L-1600 memory chip in that slot and no posts that I have found report that it works. 16 GB definitely won't work even if 8 GB does.
Intel indicates the processor can support 8 GB of memory.

Crucial Memory also states that 8GB is supported, although they do not sell memory that is compatible.
