Hi there. I have a HP Pavilion G6 1232ea. In the past I have upgraded the ram to the max the motherboard will take. Not done the hard drive as it isn’t sata3 so don’t see much point in using an SSD in it.
I currently am repairing it as it’s overheating at the moment but whilst I’m waiting the get some thermal paste I was wondering if I can upgrade my cpu in it just till I buy another laptop at some point. The cpu I have is E2 3000m 1.8ghz dual core.
motherboard is DA0R23MB6D1 Rev D
as the cpu is changeable as it isn’t soldered in what is the max I can change it to? Looked online but can’t find any definitive answers. I am away the laptop is 13 years old.
need any more info just ask. Cheers.
