If I wanted to update the RAM, of my pc dv6-2130el, what advice could you give me, the old RAM are ELPIDA 2Rx8 PC-10600S-9-10-F1, dual rank with 8 chips per façade, the new RAM must be, also, dual rank with 8 chips, or can I use something else?
What's more, the RAM frequency counts, or can I opt for RAM with a higher frequency?
Thanks in advance

You're very welcome.
I looked up the specs on the module you bought, and it didn't work for two reasons...
It is 1600 MHz (cannot exceed 1333 MHz).
It is DDR3L (1.35V). The memory you buy must be 1.5V.
Suggested models...You're pretty limited to what you can buy that will work.

You can see this extensive discussion regarding the problem finding the right memory for HP notebooks with 1st gen intel core processors. The memory I used to suggest now costs more than your notebook is worth, which is why I didn't post it above.

Hi:
You must use PC3-10600 memory (1333 MHz), 1.5V only, not 1.35V.
You cannot use PC3-12800 (1600 MHz) memory, or it won't work.
As it is, the 1333 memory downclocks to 1066 MHz because that is the fastest the processor FSB can handle.
The memory must have 8 little black chips on each side of the circuit board, not 4.
The max is 2 x 4 GB for your model.

Thank you for answering me in such a short time;
In practice, I have already purchased a Crucial CT51264BF160B, is the PC can not read, that is, the BIOS yes, but the OS no;
I would like to know, in general, even if it has a RAM has a higher frequency it should work the same, still running the memory downclocks? If so, then it means that RAM does not work because the density of the chips is not respected?
If you do not mind, I would like to upgrade to get 8GB with the 2x4GB combination, which RAM do you recommend, that meets all the specifications?
Thanks again 🙂
