Upgrade my system RAM and storage memory using SSD

Pavilion 15-p206TX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I want to upgrade my system memory(RAM) to 16GB and add new 250GB SSD along with existing 1TB HDD.

Can you suggest me RAM and SSD compatible with my system.

Share me products link or names.

I use my system for development.

Here is the Service Manual which you should find useful:

Manual

This model is very hard to service. The memory and M.2 slots are on the backside of the motherboard so you have to remove it to add an M.2 (gumstick) SSD and to upgrade memory. This is frankly beyond the skill of all but pretty experienced laptop techs. See p. 81.

So the compatible M.2 gumstick SSD would be a SATA type

And you need DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM and the max is 2 x 8 = 16 gb.

So amazon.com is apparently not shiipping right now in India due to COVID-19 but the abover link is what you need.

Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

@PrashantPawar

The specs of your machine is

1. RAM: You can upgrade to 16GB (max) using compatible RAM, for example

              https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr3/ct2kit102464bf160b/ct6926635

2. Storage: Machine does not have spare slot for adding SSD. You can replace existing 1TB HDD to faster 2.5" SSD drive (1TB or 2TB). SSD's are cheaper now and there are many around from Crucial, Samsung, Toshiba, Hitachi, Seagate, Western Digital/SanDisk ...

Regards.

@banhien  there is an M.2 slot on the backside of the motherboard which you have to get to in order to upgrade memory, anyway.

Not the way to do it. Put the SSD inside the laptop as the boot drive and the hard drive in a DVD caddy if you must. Right now the tech shop sites are shut down in India so hard to help.
