Help with upgrading of my RAM

What is the maximum upgrade of the RAM of my Laptop?

The Service Manual says 12 gigs:

 

Manual

 

But we know from lots of reports that it will run 16 gigs (2 x 8 gig DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM). 

 

8 GB memory module PC3L 12800 1600Mhz SHARED 693374-001

 

2 of these in other words:

See p. 42 of the Manual. Memory installation is relatively easy since there is a service door.
