Dear all,
I would like to ask for advice. I have a laptop type: HP - 15-ay119nf with Intel Corei5 7200u.
I would like to upgrade my RAMs, HDD to SSD and mainly Wifi module.
- RAMs that I picked are as follows:
Crucial 2x8GB DDR4 2400 CT2K8G4SFS824A
https://www.czc.cz/crucial-2x8gb-ddr4-2400/185192/produkt
Would you recommend these?
- SSD I picked is either:
Transcend MTS800, M.2 - 256GB TS256GMTS800
https://www.czc.cz/transcend-mts800-m-2-256gb/166224/produkt
or:
Samsung SSD 860 Pro, 2,5" - 256GB MZ-76P256B/EU
https://www.czc.cz/samsung-ssd-860-pro-2-5-256gb/229468/produkt
My main question with SSD is, I know that the original bay is ready for 7mm HDD. This Samsung SSD seems to be 6,8. Is that an issue or not?
- Wifi module (integrated):
I would like to have 5Ghz wifi capability, ideally AC. Is there any compatible integrated module?
Any help is appreciated,
Cheers.

The Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is a single band (2.4 Ghz) wifi adapter. It cannot transmit or receive on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
You can got for Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + BT 4.2 Combo Adapter (HP Notebook PC models only) part number: 863934-855 and use the same Ac adapter 65W.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
I see you need help in upgrading the SSD and Wireless card, on HP Notebook - 15-ay119nf notebook. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 1 802.11b/g/n (1x1) and Bluetooth® 4.0 combo (Miracast compatible) installed on the PC. Next thing, I would suggest here is to go through the Maintenance and Service guide of your HP notebook, and found that your PC supports 6.35-cm (2.5-in) SATA hard drives in 9.5-mm (.37-in) and 7.0-mm (.28- in) thickness (SSD 7-mm only) To get the answer to this question, If your network adaptor supports 802.11a, it will definitely support 5GHz. The same goes for 802.11ac.
NOTE: HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Dear Echo,
Thanks a lot for your input.
I will go for m.2 SATA SSD that I mentioned earlier.
One more question. What module would you recommend for Wifi/Bluetooth? I want to replace the current one.
Currently I have RealTek Semiconductor RTL8723BE Wireless LAN PCIe Adapter
I want to have 5Ghz and AC capabilities.
Cheers,
Martin
