Hi,

I currently own this laptop and due to a change in what I am using the system for I am needing to increase my memory and SSD storage. The laptop is out of warranty and I am looking to do the upgrades myself.

So my question is what models of memory and SSD drives are compatible (and will physically fit) with this model?

Thank you

You will need the Service Manual:

Manual

Pages 24-31 show the procedure. Both memory and M.2 SSD are under the L shaped shield.

Shield shown circled in redShield shown circled in red

Specs say your laptop has 2 x 4 gig modules of memory already installed so you have to remove them to upgrade. You can either go 2 x 8 = 16 gigs or 2 x 16 gig = 32 total on the Ryzen 5 system.

You need either DDR4-2400 or -2666 SO-DIMM:

As far as SSDs you can replace the hard drive with a 2.5 inch SATA SSD:

Or you can use an M.2 "gumstick" type SSD of either the SATA or NVME variety and you definitely want NVME as it is 4 or 5 times faster than SATA:
