Hello ,

Im looking to upgrade my HP Pavilion x360 Convertable13-u131TU laptop with the below options. Wanted to know if this is possible.

Storage: Upgrade with SSD SATA

Memory: Upgrade to 8GB

Currrent Specs : 1 TB HDD & 4 GB RAM

1. For RAM: Your machine has 2 slot of RAM, supports 16GB max. You can have following upgrade options

 

(a) To  8GB: Keep existing 4GB and add 4GB to slot 2,

(b) To 12GB: Keep existing 4GB and add 8GB to slot 2,

(c) To 16GB: Discard 4GB and add 8GB to each slot.

 

Fully compatible RAM  (2400MHz will run at 2133MHz automatically):

Thanks for your reply.. It should help.

Just one more question. I have an i3 7th generation processor under my laptop's hood.  What capacity of RAM would be wise to upgrade with. Is it 8GB ot 16GB ?  Can we leverage the full potential of 16GB RAM with the existing i3 Processor. ?
