Hello forum
I bought my Pavilion 14-n000sa Notebook nearly 10 years ago and it's getting really slow, and I welcome advice on whether to try to upgrade it or replace it.  It's used during travel, for planning, online bookings, social media and photography uploads.
What would give me the best bang for my bucks, if I were to go for an upgrade option?
I feel confident in increasing the RAM myself - thinking I could just add a second 4.00 GB (cost £14), or go for either 1 or 2 x 8.00 GB (cost £18 each).  Would that make a marked improvement?  I would feel less confident in installing an SSD, which I understand can give a big improvement, but is costlier and trickier to get right.

@Axcroft

Well, it's up to you. If I was you, I would buy a new machine.

Regards.

@banhien, Thanks for that, much appreciated to get your opinion. I would be really interested to know the main reasons why you recommend replacement and not upgrade.  My preference would be to try to upgrade, if at all feasible, but I do recognise that oftentimes investing in old technology is just not viable.
