Hp pavilion dv7 - 1150ef

Hello. Im thinking to upgrade my pc processor. Its an hp pavilion dv7 - 1150ef.: Intel core 2 duo, 4 gb of ram, windows 10 pro 64 bits and a nvidia 9600gt graphic card. I want tto upgrade the prprocessor to an intel core i3 m370. It would be compatible? The pc will requires to be reseted after rhe upgrade?. Tanks. Im looking forward ours answers.

The i3 is a PGA988 socket package on a 37.5mm x 37.5mm die and the Core2 Duo is a PGA478 socket on a 35mm x 35mm die. So, they do not fit into the same kind of connector and you cannot replace one with the other.
