Hi:
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06250187
The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1.
My understanding is that many forum members have installed 2 x 16 GB of memory in notebooks with the Intel 8th gen processors, even though the manual indicates the max is 2 x 8 GB.

Hi Paul,
thaks a lot for manual hp.....I read the memory section but I find it a bit ambiguous because tell that :
Two SODIMM memory module slots, non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable (Core processors)
Supports up to 16 GB of system memory
DDR4-2400 dual channel support (8th generation Core processors)
DDR4-2133 dual channel support (7th generation Core processors)
Supports the following conƭgurations
● 16 GB (8 GB × 2)
● 12 GB (8 GB × 1 + 4 GB × 1)
● 8 GB (8 GB × 1 or 4 GB × 2)
● 4 GB (4 GB × 1)
tell that this memory are not upgradable but after in chapter 5 explain the procedure for removing the memory module.
I think that the memory are removible and the upgrade is possible, furthermoreanother good news is the presence of the storage slot sata which allow me to add a ssd 2.5.
what do you think about memeory ram upgrade??

You're very welcome.
Yes, the manual wording is confusing.
The 'non-customer-accessible/non-upgradable' statement means that the memory upgrade is supposed to be performed by an authorized HP service center, not by the customer.
Of course if you feel you can do the job yourself without breaking anything in the process (thus voiding the warranty), feel free to do so.
The memory modules can definitely be removed and replaced (as set forth in chapter 5).

Hi Paul..!!
You tell me that someone has update ram until 32gb but the limitation write in guide tell that ram max supported is 16gb (8x2). If i put this command in powershell:
Get-WmiObject -Class Win32_physicalmemoryarray | Format-List -Property MaxCapacity
MaxCapacity: 33554432
So theorically this PC support 32gb of ram 16x2 even if HP says that the max is 16gb.
Paul, what is the risk if i install 32gb??
