Hi:
The service manual indicates that 1 x 16 GB is the max, but your notebook should have two memory slots and you should be able to install another 16 GB chip in the empty slot.
Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)
You can do this to see how much memory your notebook can support.
1. In the search box, search for cmd and click Run as administrator.
This will open the command prompt.
2. Once command prompt is opened, type wmic memphysical get maxcapacityEx and hit enter.
There, it will show the maximum RAM capacity your PC's motherboard can support.
The capacity is shown as Kilobytes, so you have to convert it to Gigabytes by dividing the number provided in the report by 1,048,576.

If you want to know the manufacturer and part number of the memory that HP installed, run the free utility that I zipped up and attached below.
Normally you can use one of the standard Crucial memory chips recommended for your PC.
If you can't find the exact 16 GB memory part number HP installed for sale, below is the link to the 16 GB Crucial memory chip that should work for your notebook:
