I want to Upgrade my laptop memory(RAM).

but i confused how to choose correct & best RAM for my Laptop. I scan through Crucial Scanner Tool, but it shows me DDR3L RAM 1600MHz, but i found that there is more Frequency than 1600MHz  in DDR3L RAM. So, can i use any 2400 MHz or More DDR3L RAM ???

what is the maximum RAM configuration Supported by my other laptop Hardware????

Some Spec:

Intel® Core™ i3-2350M Processor 2.30GHz

Existing 2GB RAM (Scanner tool Shows me it has 1333MHz Frequency)

also one another question can i use two different voltage ram at once..

Existing ram runs on 1.5 V and Crucial ram runs on 1.35 V....

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

The memory upgrade info can be found in chapter 1 on page 4.

2 x 4 GB is the max.

The memory you will need for your model is PC3-10600 (1333 MHz) 1.5V, not 1.35V.

that means highest spec. of ram for my pc is DDR3L 1333MHz (Max.) and lowest voltage is 1.5V (so, 1.35V RAM will not support by my laptop)..

or it just campatible with old (existing) Ram  ???

what if i remove Existing RAM and i want to use new ram(Crucial 4GB RAM 1600MHz 1.35V) only...

Is your answer still the same ????

I'm not sure your notebook will work with 1.35V memory.

it might, it might not.

That is why it came with 1.5V memory.

I doubt the mixed voltages will work.

So, you can try the two 1.35V memory modules and hope they work.

I always stick with the specs.

I never had a problem that way, in the 15 - 20 desktop and notebook PC's I have owned over the years, upgrading the memory.

The PC12800 (1600 Mhz) should downclock to 1333 MHz, so that part isn't a problem.

thank you so much... but i have to know that low voltage(<1.5V) is supported by my pc or not ????

if you know someone who can answer this question, please give username or any other contact of  him ....

i didn't found any hp customercare email contact...  NO Live Chat....

We(HP Costomer) have only this community to find answer or ask question ???

You're very welcome.

Hi, @Huffer

Here's another question you may know the answer to.

I am not 100% confident advising this forum member that DDR3L (1.35V) memory is guaranteed to work in this model.

I am conservative when it comes to deviating from the OEM equipment.

In other words, there is no way I would be buying 1.35V memory for a PC that came with 1.5V memory, unless I had a 1.35V stick to experiment with.

Your insight would be appreciated.

Thanks

DDR3L by definition can run at either 1.35 volt or 1.5 volt but the transition is sometimes a bit sketchy. There is some DDR3-1333 memory out there that is 1.35 volt but very rare. Using DDR3L-1600 on a DDR3-1600 1.5 volt system generally works pretty well but asking it to change both voltage and clock speed to run on a 1333 system at 1.5 volts is asking a bit much and inviting trouble.
