Hi, I am looking for some assistance regarding my new purchase.
The laptop comes with 512 GB NVME storage and 16 GB RAM
The retailer is not allowing me to open the device because of the warranty and I can't find information anywhere regarding upgrade posibilities.
Also because of the warranty conditions in my country they require the send the device to in RMA so that they can investigate if it's possible to upgrade, a thing that is ridiculous, but still this how it is.
I want to add either another NVME storage drive or at least to replace the current one with one at least 2 TB instead.
Also I want to upgrade the RAM to 32 GB RAM.
Can someone please help and tell me if my product has 2 storage slots or only 1 and also the same thing for the ram sticks and also if I can add up to 32 GB ram
Thank you in advance.

Hi:
Your notebook only has support for one M.2 NVMe SSD.
Only the 16-wf0xxx model series has support for two M.2 NVMe SSD's.
You can replace the drive with one at least up to 4 TB.
HP - Compaq HP OMEN 16-wd0000 | Memory RAM & SSD Upgrades | Crucial.com
It will support 2 x 16 GB of memory.

HI,
Thank you for clarifying the information regarding ssd and ram's
Also i am trying to find out if I do the upgrades myself, will I lose the warranty, since in the maintenance guide it's mentioned that you are allowed to do self repair, but it also says that this feature may apply or not depending on the location.
This is the paragraph:
The Customer Self-Repair program is not available in all locations. Installing a part that is not supported by the Customer Self-Repair program can void your warranty. Check your warranty to determine whether Customer Self-Repair is supported in your location.
The information is not mentioned on the warranty card, and HP Romania support doesn't really exist.

Off the record I would say that you can do the upgrades yourself since that is what the title of chapter 5 indicates.
Removal and replacement procedures for Customer Self-Repair parts
What I do know is that if your notebook ever needs warranty service you must return it to its original hardware configuration before sending it in for repairs.
So, you can take your chances that nothing will need service within the warranty period or wait until the warranty expires and do the upgrades and not worry about it.
