Hp Envy 15 k204nl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone.

I have a Envy k204nl i7 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5500U CPU @ 2.40GHz

I would like to upgrade from my hhd to  SSD. After checking  a similar post on this forum a finally bought a SSD Pioneer M.2 NVMe PCIe 256gb which was suggested in the forum.

I took then my laptop to a technician and he told me that my laptop doesnt support any SSD at all because my HDD is 1000gb.

My idea was to install my OS to the SSD and use the HDD as storage.

Can anyone help me on this? Am I able to install the SSD that I bought? If so am I able to run both HDD and SSD?

Thank you for your help, some HP technician didnt have a clue.

much appreciated

Anyone in my same position?

I managed to call a HPntechnician today and he end up saying that the envy 15' doesn-t support any SSD at all, not even the SATA III, only the 17' does.

Anyone can confirm it, because i found in a forum someone replaced the HDD to a SSD in my same model?

Thank you
