Pavillion 15-Au101np
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello!

I have laptop HP Pavillion 15-Au101np with 1TB HDD and optical DVDR- drive.

I would like to know if I can upgrade to a M2 SSD 256GB 2280 as a primary boot drive and keep my 1TB HDD as a secondary storage drive while keeping my DVD drive (without removing it and replace for a caddy).

So what I want is to add a M2 SSD 256GD drive and keep the 1TB HDD and DVD drive.

I think this model has an extra expansion slot for M2 SSD. Where is it located?

This should be the correct Maintenance and Service guide for your device https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-15-au100-notebook-pc/12499208/model/13152630/manual...

It shows that there is an M2 slot for a harddrive.

Cruicial.com has an excellent advisory utility that will show what devices they sell are compatible.

Yes, I already did that before I posted! Also read a Maintenance Manual but it does not say where the M2 slot is located.
So, can I keep the 1TBHDD an DVD drive and add the M2 SSD?
I want to know where slot is located...

Thanks

From the manual, the slot appears to be right next to the standard  drive slot

Thank you for your reply!
From the manual which I downloaded:

Number 12 is the card reader. The position you pointed. Is there where I insert the M2 SSD?
Number 10 is the SSD cable

What I'd like to know is if I can keep the 2 drives. The HDD drive in it's place and add the M2 SSD and if I need some kind of adapter. Or is **bleep** plug an play.
