Hello all !
My question is I Have a HP Notebook I bought on Nov. 30, 2019 it is a - 15t-db000-CT0 laptop with the HHD mechanical hard drive and I want to install a Samsung SSD hard Drive in its place- The SSD is Samsung 870 QVO SATA III 2.5" SSD 2TB - can this laptop run this SSD if I install it ??? I have a 2TB Western Digital hard drive in there now and it's a 2.5 inch form factor. My laptop now has 16mb of ram - I run Windows 10 64 bit and the hard drive is a 2TB in size. Thank you - George

Yes, it should be a simple task and Samsung 870EVO is a good choice

Thank you very much for your reply to my question ! By chance do you have a recommendation on a sata to USB cable - USB 3.0 to 2.5" cable to copy the hard drive that's in my laptop now to the new Samsung SSD via USB 3 -so I can then make the switch of the hard drives ? I don't know if there is a preferred cable that I need to do this job when using the Samsung SSD. ? Thanks again - George in Fla.

I do many times each year therefor I use a dock. In your case you can use an enclosure similar to the following ones

You can connect to your machine to move or clone your existing drive to new drive. After swapping them, you can use old HDD as an external hard drive.
Regards.
