Hi,

You can replace the hard drive with any 2.5" SATA3 SSD. The Samsung 860 Evo is considered one of the best price/performance SSD on the market.

On page 59 of service manual you can see the steps to replace the drive:

You will need to install the OS on the SSD either by using HP recovery disks, migrating an image or by downloading media creation tool from Microsoft, running and creating a bootable pendrive with the OS on it.
