PC Health Check testing indicates my laptop processor does not support windows 11. Windows 10 is fully functional, and the laptop is still all I need. Is there a processor upgrade that will support win 11? If so, please suggest part numbers etc. I am competent and have tools to install the hardware. Or is the answer "buy another computer?" I know win10 support is ending this year, but desire the added security of win11.

Unfortunately, there are no processors/motherboards offered in that model series that would support W11.
If you are happy with your PC and if you are interested in installing W11 24H2 on your PC as is, watch this video, which is the easiest way to do it in my opinion, and I have tried many different ways to do this during the last 3 years.
How to install Windows 11 24H2 on Unsupported PC (Early Access) 2024 (youtube.com)
Download the W24H2 ISO file and use that (3rd option).
Download Windows 11 (microsoft.com)
You can download the free 7-Zip file utility from the link below. The top line is for 64 bit.
You'll have to repeat this procedure each October when Microsoft rolls out the new builds because a PC that does not meet Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements will never automatically get the update to the next build.
Other than that, your PC will continue to get the monthly cumulative and other updates.
That's only a minor inconvenience to have continued OS support beyond October of 2025.

There is this tool called rufus, it lets you make your own flash drive with windows (it can be downloaded for microsoft site).
When in this app you can choose to bypass TPM 2.0 ,
Bypass Windows 11 TPM 2.0 & Secure Boot using Rufus! (Yes, even with 24H2!)

Hi KaliO1
Thank you for your reply, but my problem is not with TPM 2.0 nor with security boot.
My problem is with processor, and that's why I as question if there is it possible to upgrade the processor, and if so, to witch model?

Hi, @ammp
Didn't you see my reply?
1. The processor is an integral part of the motherboard (soldered to it) and cannot be upgraded.
2. There are no motherboards in the model series that come with processors that meet Microsoft's minimum processor requirements.
See chapter 3 of the service manual for the list of supported motherboards.

You have 3 options:
Leave your notebook as is on W10.
Buy a new notebook that fully supports W11
Use one of the Windows hardware check bypass methods we posted for you.
I've used the Rufus method many times and it works great for both in-place upgrades and clean installs.
But the method in the video I gave you is easier to do when you just want to do an in-place upgrade from W10>W11.

You're very welcome.
I used the video I posted to install W11 on a PC that does not have a UEFI BIOS, does not support secure boot, no TPM device at all, and the processor is just a first-generation Intel core processor.
So, the PC met none of Microsoft's minimum W11 hardware requirements and it runs W11 24H2 just fine.
