General ROT when working with resource consuming software: CPU, GPU, Memory (RAM) and fast storage. The specs of your machine is

  1. CPU: it has an Intel I3, namely: 5th generation Intel® Core™ i3-5020U (2.2gHz, 3MB L3 Cache) Dual Core. This is a weak CPU and it is not upgradable without costing you an arm and a leg.
  2. GPU:  ditto
  3. RAM: it has 4GB+2GB = 6GB now. You can upgrade to 16GB
  4. Storage: It has a slow 1TB 5400RPM HDD. You can upgrade to faster 1TB SSD

2 MAIN things are CPU and GPU which are costly to upgrade, buying new machine would be the right choice. Therefore my suggestion : You can upgrade 3 and 4 now, this would buy more time for you to save money for a new, more powerful machine.
